You can’t mention Boxing without mentioning Floyd. Those two words should appear in the same sentence. Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr. is an American professional boxing promoter and former professional boxer. He competed from 1996 to 2007, 2009 to 2010, 2011 to 2015, and made a one-fight comeback in 2017 when he came out of his retirement to fight MMA star Conor McGregor, August 26 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Floyd Mayweather was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States on the 24th of February 1977, aged 43 years; He is 1.73 m of Height and Weighs 68 kg.

- One tough baby.
When Floyd Mayweather was a tiny one-year old baby, his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., was involved in selling drugs. He got into a fight with one of the other dealers, so the other dealer showed up to the house and pointed a gun at Floyd Sr.’s head. He picked up baby Floyd Jr. and used him as a shield to keep from getting shot.

In 1993, Floyd’s father was arrested for possession and trafficking cocaine. His mother had addiction issues too, so his family life was not exactly easy. Floyd realized at an early age that he wanted to be a boxer. He dropped out of high school so that he could start making a living boxing. He started his professional career in 1996.
- He is a dad.
Not that this is a very unique thing but it is worth mentioning, he has a total of 4 kids, from two different ex-girlfriends. His sons are named Koraun and Zion. He also has two daughters named Jirah and Iyanna. Melissa Brim is the mother of Iyanna, while Josie Harris is the mother of the other three kids. He loves to spoil his kids, giving them lavish Sweet 16 parties and buying them $400,000 cars when they first learn how to drive.

Floyd Mayweather has never been married. Recently, he was rumored to be dating a woman who he met because she was his personal masseuse. It seems as though he is simply enjoying the single life, and the perks that come along with that.

Floyd has two multi-million dollar private jets which he calls Air Mayweather one and two. In 2016. He bought his second private jet, a 12 seater Gulfstream for around $34 million. Jackie Starr started cutting Mayweather his hair in 2009 and she is the only one to cut his hair whether he is in the US or traveling abroad. She charges $1,000 per haircut, and she says that she typically cuts his hair two times a week, but three times if he’s in training.
- He is a convict.
Floyd has had more than one run in with the law. In 2002. He was convicted of two counts of domestic violence and one count of misdemeanor battery, for which he served two days’ house arrest and did 48 hours of community service. In 2004. He was again convicted of two counts of misdemeanor battery, he had to pay a $1,000 fine and go to counseling for impulse control. In 2005, he received another misdemeanor battery charge after hitting a bouncer but again served no jail time. In 2011. He pled guilty for domestic abuse against an ex-girlfriend and pled no contest to two counts of misdemeanor harassment from threats he made to his children. He served 90 days in jail, had to complete 100 hours’ community service and had to complete a 12-month violence program in addition to paying a fine of $20500.
- He won’t eat food made in a microwave.
Mayweather will not eat anything that has been prepared with a microwave. No matter what he eats, he insists that it be cooked in the oven or on the stove.
