Manuel Neuer extend Bayern Munich deal until 2023 despite club already agreeing deal to sign his heir apparent Alexander Nubel this summer that had put his future at Bayern Munich in doubt. The new goalkeeper has followed Manuel’s footstep in swapping from Schalke 04 to Bayern Munich back in 2011. The club announced the extension by another 3 season whereby former great Oliver Kahn a board member said to understand the situation the German No 1 was going through. Having made over 374 appearances for the club and won golden glove thrice he has appreciated the efforts of goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic and feels the importance of working with him at home in Bavaria.
Since Hansi Flick was announced as permanent successor to Niko Kovac the club is determined to tie player to new long-term deals. The 34-year-old has won several trophies at Allianz arena and join fellow teammates Thomas muller and Alphonso Davies to extending their stay. Having won their first game since pandemic break, they will be hosting Frankfurt at home ready to exact revenge from their earlier 5-1 loss.
